Westonzoyland Primary School ‘Achieving, Learning and Growing Together’

School Meals

Hot meals are available and can be ordered through the School Office. The meals are served daily in the School Hall.

Children may also bring sandwiches or a similar packed lunch together with water in a suitable, non-glass container. Please provide a spoon for yoghurts etc. Lunch is eaten in the School Hall from 12.30 pm. Pre-School children may eat earlier.

Free hot meals or packed lunches are available for all EYFS and KS1 children and in KS2 to those who are entitled to Free School Meals. Information and an application form can be collected from the School Office. To all other children, school meals are available at a cost of £2.10 per day.

Children are also allowed to bring a small fruit snack to be consumed during morning break. In EYFS and Key Stage One, children are provided with a free piece of fruit through a Government funded scheme.

Children are known to benefit from a regular intake of water. We encourage children to bring a plastic bottle of water to school every day and to keep this in the classroom. There is a chilled water dispenser in school which children are able to use. Water bottles should be taken home daily for washing.
