Art
In Year 1, children develop their creativity as they explore a range of artistic skills and techniques. They use a variety of materials to create artwork, including drawing, painting, printing and collage, while experimenting with colour, pattern, texture, line and shape. Children are introduced to the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers to inspire their own ideas and creativity. They are encouraged to explore, experiment and talk about their artwork, helping them to develop confidence, imagination and enjoyment in art.
