Sports day 2021
Hobby and Osprey class
Hobby and Osprey class joined together (socially distanced!) on the field to take part in their sports day events. They competed in their house teams against other teams within their own class while watched and cheered on by the other class. The sun shone unexpectedly and a fun morning was had.
May Day Fete- 7th May 2018
Our May Day King and Queen and attendants had a lovely time at the May Day Fete. They rode around the village on a trailer before cutting the ribbon to open the fete. They then enjoyed their royal privileges throughout the fair.
Children's Parliament presentation - March 2018
Our dedicated CP team ( Jessica, Matthew, Isabel and Olivia) took part in this year's Children's Parliament at Shire Hall in Taunton.
Their presentation was all about the Golden Mile which is an initiative designed to increase children's daily exercise and fight child obesity. They performed admirably under intense pressure and scrutiny from a bank of child and adult judges.
They were awarded a certificate and rosette for taking part and can be so proud of representing their school so well.
Wind in the Willows -Image Theatre Company
On Thursday 14th December the Image Theatre Company brought their production of 'The Wind in the Willows' to school. A handful of the children were chosen to be part of the production, playing the parts of stouts, weasels, a carthorse and policemen and they all did a fabulous job. The rest of the pupils (and staff!) joined in with the singing and dancing!
Indoor Athletics Competition - November 2017
Our team of 10 girls and 10 boys took part in an indoor sportshall athletics competition at BCA. The children took part in up to 4 different events ranging from obstacle and sprint races, to chest push, soft javelin and speed bounce.
The event was a great showcase of the group's sporting talents and was enjoyed by both the children (of course) and the many parents who turned up to transport and support their children.
In the end, the team placed 8th overall (out of 17) which is a more than respectable achievement.
Thanks you to all the boys and girls for giving the event 100% effort and representing their school so proudly.
