Reception
We have been very bossy this week! We composed our own bossy commands to tell the wolf what to do!
Friday 17th November
Today we have been learning all about Children in Need. We have discussed who we help when we have a fundraising day for this cause. The children have loved being in their Mufti clothes and made super contributions today.
Friday 10th November
Today we have been learning about Remembrance, we also observed a two minute silence at 11am to pay our respects to humans and animals who have dedicated their lives to serving the country.
Merlin Class set such a fantastic example and were all given a dojo for how respectful they were during this time. They enjoyed our activities in class today and loved the poppy created by a lovely year 6 child!
Friday 10th November
Today we have been learning about the Hindu festival Diwali that is celebrated in Autumn. Reception then looked at Mehndi which is also known as henna and how intricate patterns are drawn onto hands during this celebration. They had a go at decorating their own hand outlines using cotton buds, paint and sparkles.

This morning we practiced some formation and CVC words in Phonics.
The children worked so hard on developing their technique throughout our session.
We are super proud of their attitude to their learning.

The children have been thinking about recipes this week, in particular making a pumpkin soup which they all helped to do. On Friday they got the chance to try their fantastic soup.
We are looking forward to making another vegetable soup designed by the year 1s soon!
We thought about how we could change the shed in our new innovation of Mrs Armitage. We had some very funny ideas!
We have been practising our names, trying to form letters correctly, and really thinking about our pencil grip.
We innovated Little Rabbit Foo Foo with our own ideas.
