Student Council Meeting – Friday 26th Sept 2025
Action: We talked about what a Student Council is and what the SC representatives saw as their role in the Student Council at WZ (Roles & responsibilities were listed).
Action: We discussed the House Award prize for last terms winners.
Outcome: Aylesbeare will have an own clothes day on Friday 5th December 2025.
Action: What events do the SC want to run this year?
Outcome: SC ideas for consideration…Creative / making day, bingo, partner run (around the park or field), lemonade stand, ice cream stand, fund raise for a book sale.
Student Council Meeting – Monday 10th Nov 2025
Action: We discussed the school catering provision and talked about the food/menu choices that children really liked, what they would like to see more of, and areas for development.
Outcome: We have a good amount of pupil feedback to inform future discussions with our catering provider, Aspens.
Action: What charities do we want to support this year?
Outcome: In the Spring or Summer term we will run a whole-school charity fundraiser for a chosen charity. The SC Reps will be asking their classes to nominate a chosen charity and to report back in our next SC meeting. We will then choose a charity for the year and begin planning an event.
Action: We are looking to improve pupils experiences at playtimes, especially with regard to provision and resourcing of the KS1 & KS2 playground areas.
Outcome: Lots of good ideas of what to purchase, such as: gym ropes, hoola hoops, trollies, balancing equipment, monkey bars, a climbing area. More discussion to follow in future meetings.
