At Westonzoyland Community Primary School, we feel that it is important to establish an environment in which all members of the school community feel safe, secure and respected. It is imperative that we recognise the need to teach children how to behave rather than expecting them to have already developed this understanding.
In line with current neurological and educational research, we understand and value the importance of relationships and empathy in developing an optimum state for learning. We endeavour to develop positive relationships with and between all children. This is achieved by developing positive attitudes and behaviour and recognising this through rewards and praise.
