Westonzoyland Primary School ‘Achieving, Learning and Growing Together’


Westonzoyland Community Primary School is a small rural school in the heart of the Somerset Levels.  We have a strong ethos of whole child development and using our beautiful outdoor environment in our learning.  We are truly looking to develop the citizens of the future!


We are able to offer the following posts in our friendly school.


Post 1 Full Time         Permanent Contract             Class Teacher (with Key Stage Leader Opportunity)

Teaching scales (with possible TLR 2a for Key Stage Leader)


We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic class teacher, who will prove to be an outstanding addition to our school team.   The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner and have a passion for teaching and learning.


We will consider applications from teachers at any stage in their career; however due to a leadership restructure, we are able to offer a TLR 2a for a Key Stage Leader position to candidates with suitable experience and skills.  We are looking for a dynamic leader with strong people skills and a clear vision for school improvement. 


Post 2     Fixed Term Contract initially      0.4 (preferably Thursdays and Fridays) Class Teacher KS1

We are also looking to recruit a SENDCo relief teacher for two days a week.  The successful candidate will not only be a strong practitioner in their own right, but also a great team player.

A vacancy has arisen for a Governor at Westonzoyland Primary School and Pre-school.


This is a great opportunity to become part of the school; be instrumental in helping shape positive outcomes for our pupils; and work with the rest of the Governors and staff.
