Welcome to Westonzoyland Primary School!
It is a true pleasure to address you as the Headteacher of Westonzoyland Community Primary School. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of our whole school community to welcome you to our school and our website.
As a primary school, we are very aware that we are helping to create the citizens of the future, and at Westonzoyland, we are really proud of our children: we seek to do the best for them in everything we do. Through our engaging curriculum and learning environment we build children’s enthusiasm and wonder for learning. We strive to provide opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom that develop collaborative and team-building skills, enabling our children to be well-rounded individuals. Health and wellbeing is fundamental to our values and to our aims of providing an excellent, all-round education. Our PE curriculum and after-school provision provide opportunities aplenty for children to learn about the importance of staying physically fit, of enjoying exercise, and how to look after their well-being.
At Westonzoyland, we are a friendly, caring school with high expectations for all our pupils. Our wonderful staff are dedicated to the children they teach and to making Westonzoyland the best school it can be. We are so lucky to have great support from our community and our governors, which enables us to be constantly changing and improving.
