Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a lovely Easter.
This week, I have tried to do things a little differently to make things easier to find. Instead of splitting the page into subjects, I have put new tasks on for each day that cover English & Maths, plus an additional activity from another area of the curriculum. There is also a longer weekly task available, this week looking at Mary Anning and a template to make your own time capsule. I hope this makes things easier to navigate! Please let me know what you think. I want to ensure that resources are easy to access so please send me a message to let me know if this helps. Your feedback would be appreciated.
Happy learning and I hope you all have a great week!
Topic work to be completed throughout the week
This week, we are going to learn all about the life of Mary Anning.
Mary Anning was a famous fossil hunter and collector. She found and identified many pre-historic fossils from the time of the dinosaurs and sold them to make money for her family.
Anning was one of the earliest fossil hunters to identify these pre-historic fossils, and she shared her specimens and impressive knowledge about them with scientists at the time.
Anning was born and grew up in Lyme Regis, on the south coast of England. This is an area with lots of fossils and is not too far away from where we live!
Here are some activities you could complete (click on the yellow writing to get taken straight to the page)
