Westonzoyland Primary School ‘Achieving, Learning and Growing Together’

Week beg. Monday 6th July

We are continuing and extending our Under the Sea theme this week.

We will be looking at and listening to the some more stories about fish and sea creatures, The Snail and The Whale and Fidgety Fish, both stories are on Memos on Tapestry.

The Snail travels with the Whale and sees different parts of the world. Fidgety Fish, has lots of energy and needs to use it up as he explores the sea.

We will be searching for natural shapes in the environments as we look at stories, the stars, star fish, triangle/cone shaped limpets, round/circle eyes, bubbles crescent moon, etc. We will also look in our indoor and outdoor area for natural and man-made shapes and recording our findings.

Some Fun Home Learning activities this week;

  • How many different shapes did you spot in the stories?
  • Can you go on a shape hunt, indoors or/and outdoors?
  • What natural or man-made shapes did you find? Can you draw the shape or take a photo of the shape to show us on Tapestry.
