I hope I am going to see lots of you today at 11am for our Zoom call! I am really looking forward to it, last week it really cheered me up!
Florence found this in a scrapbook from her neighbours!! It is a newspaper article written on the 8th May 1945 and she thought it would be great to show everyone.
Yesterday we thought about how it would have felt to have lived through the horrendous Second World War and tried to imagine how amazing it must have been to have heard that it was over. Today, I would like you to remember that empathy and use it to write a letter of thanks to a soldier. What would you say to them? What would you thank them for? Have you got any questions you would want to ask them? I have attached a piece of plain backing paper if you would like to use it.
Year 5s, here are your last few questions on Data Handling...go careful because the answers are attached on the second sheet!!

This week we have been learning about VE day and today I have a challenge for you: I would like us to enter the VE remembrance design competition.
'The Bridgwater Royal British Legion would like to invite schools in Bridgwater and the surrounding area to get involved, by asking students to produce individual drawings depicting VE day 75 years ago, when WW11 officially ended in Europe.'
You need to complete your drawing by Thursday evening and email it back to me. School will forward on your entrees and Bridgwater RBL will choose an overall winner, from all the entrees they have received, from each Key Stage. A book voucher prize to the value of £25.00 will be awarded as well as (with parental permission), the winning entries to be publicised.
Below I have attached a range of other Art activities that you may want to have a go at:
