Riley has been getting creative this week, taking his time to create his very own Elmer who is beautiful and bright. I hope his creation can inspire some of you to create your own, I think I am going to have to give it a go! He also did a cool science experiment with his mum 😊 I have added a WOW dojo for all Riley’s hard work and his attitude to his learning. You are a superstar!

A message from Leo:
Today I’ve been busy doing some reading in Bug Club, learning about dinosaurs and we made some using plaster and then painted them. I have dressed as a werewolf skeleton face for topsy Turvy day. I have been looking at a map of the world with Nanny and learning about different countries. We are just going to bake a cake now.

Sounds like a fantastic day Leo, I am happy to see that big smile of yours whilst doing your home learning! smiley

Abigail has been busy this week working hard and doing some independent work at home. She has been loving doing reading comprehensions and enjoying reading on bug club. I was very proud of Abigail when she told me that she had painted rainbows for the older lady living next door to her. You are caring and kind and we are very proud of you Abigail! I thought it would be nice to give Abigail a helping others dojo for this.

They have also been helping their mum and dad lamb during the lambing season- what an important job! We are very proud of you both, you are doing some fantastic learning and focusing on things you sometimes don't get as much time to do at school.  Annabelle has also written her report for Sunny the Meerkat and a Meerkat fact file- I can't wait to see you creative writing! smiley

Over the weekend I was inspired by Oliver to bake! I made some chocolate cupcakes. I also went on my walk a day with Kasper we walked in the lovely, warm sunshine. It is so important to get outside for your walk a day or for some exercise in the garden. I came back feeling happy and refreshed. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

I was really pleased to receive an email from Annabelle yesterday evening all about what she has been doing during her home learning time. Annabelle thought her maths was very fun and exciting and the writing has been her favourite activity so far. She has been using bug club and earning coins on the site because of the amazing reading she has been doing at home. I loved to hear how she has been boxing with her daddy and baking after washing her hands thoroughly. We miss you too Annabelle and are looking forward to seeing the class as soon as possible!

I am going to use this page so that we can all keep in touch with each other. If you send me messages, pictures, pieces of writing, art, maths work or documents you have created on my class email... 414.buzzard@educ.somerset.gov.uk I will add them to this page so you can all see how each other are getting on.

I would also like to upload virtual certificates on this page for excellent attitudes to learning and to celebrate successes during your home learning time.

I will upload things here to keep you updated on what I am doing too :)

Thank you so much for a lovely day on Friday, we wrote end of term booklets looking at the year so far and I have loved reading them at home. I can't stress how much of a joy it has been to teach you all so far!

I have added two important internal links to Mrs Garbett's assemblies and health and wellbeing. Please make sure you look after yourselves. I hope these pages provide some familiarity, normality, structure and comfort for the children.
