Good morning everyone! Today, we have lots of spelling activities for English and some addition and subtraction revision for Maths. We are going to be ambitious and try and learn our days of the week in French today! I would love to see some videos of you pronouncing the words correctly!
I will have my ipad on me all day, so will try to reply to your emails as they come in. Have a lovely day!
English: Spelling, words ending in -tion
The letters -tion usually appear at the end of a word.
But be careful, can you see which spelling today has the -tion in the middle of the word?
Today's spelling might be a little tricky. That's because the suffix -tion doesn't follow the same rules as the previous suffixes (where we can look at the root word and add a suffix to change its meaning). That means we might need a little more practice with our spellings this week!
For today's first task, I would like you to get a sheet of paper and lots of coloured pens. We are going to do some rainbow writing just like we do at school!
To do this, you need to write each of your words in as many ways as you can all over the page! Try out some of these ideas:
Now try your look, say, cover, write.
Today, there is also a crossword for you to try, as well as an extra task for the left over words from the crossword.
Finally, try and find all of today's spellings in this crossword, then practice your beautiful handwriting!

Once you have mastered your days of the week, why not try this days of the week game! All you need is the printed board and a dice
Or why not try making a french chatterbox to test your skills. I used to love making these when I was at school!
