Good morning Osprey class and welcome to week 10 of 'home learning'.
It’s Sports Week this week which I am very excited about!!
Thank you to all of you who sent me your Sports Week entries; the house points have all been counted and the winning designs have been chosen. You can see these on the Sports Week page: https://www.westonzoylandprimary.co.uk/virtual-sports-week/.
Well done to Greylake who are the current leaders but don’t worry… there are plenty more points to be won!! This week there will be a different physical Virtual Sports Week activity each day for you to have a go at. Remember for each one you complete you will earn a point for your house. Good luck!!

English – Reading
Today I have a reading activity all about our wonderful NHS. This topic seems especially appropriate at the moment so please have a read and hopefully you’ll learn a bit more about the history and role of our NHS. Go careful because the answers are attached to the bottom of each sheet.
Year 4s, today you are going to be practising dividing by 10. Remember that, rather than using our written method, we have to use our place value knowledge. Hopefully you can remember this from our work in school. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zf39whv
Year 5s, today you are going to be rounding decimals. We have practised rounding whole numbers in class and this is very similar. Just remember the rule: ‘5 or more it rounds up, 4 or less it stays the same!’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zm6g9mn
Topic – RE
You might need to use the internet or books to support you with this activity. Have a go at sorting out the religious symbols and buildings into the correct columns. Some symbols may be found in multiple religions so tell me which one it is most prominent within.
Have a go at one of these challenges and then send in your pictures or videos so that I can add on your house points. Have fun and good luck!
