Thank you all for your fantastic entries for our virtual sports week! I have been so impressed with how creative you have all been and loved your different designs.

Well done to Annabelle, Georgia, Ella, Ted, Isaac, Charlie. B, Charlie. H, Ethan, Abigail and Summer your designs have been selected to represent Buzzard Class this week!

I have chosen two activities that will be used as part of our 10 activities for sports week, and a slogan for Buzzard class over the week! Well done Annabelle and Georgia we would love to use your ideas. These will be displayed on our main page and will be completed by all children in the school!

Our Activities

Annabelle's activity: 20 star jumps, jog on the spot for 20 seconds and then run on the spot for 10 seconds. CHALLENGE- How many times can you do this circuit?

Georgia's activity: How many times can you side step from one end of the playground/garden to the other in 5 minutes?

"Taking part is all that matters..."

Our slogan for the week is... "Taking part is all that matters." This was coined by Ella and Georgia! We think this captures the spirit of this week and our values as a school.

Our House Shields...

Well done Charlie. H and Annabelle- We have chosen Charlie's shield and incorporated Annabelle's slogan to represent Grey Lake! We love how Charlie drew his own shield and showed the reflection in the beautiful lake. You worked hard on your drawing and used vibrant blue to bring your shield to life.

Well done Isaac and Ted- We used Isaac's shield and added bits of Ted's shield and slogan to represent Swellwood, we love the use of colour, the cool bubble writing and fantastic slogan that highlights what this day means to Ted 'Sports day is really fun'.

Well done Abigail, your fantastic shield will be used to represent Ham Wall! I like the patterns and colour that you have used to make a bold, unique shield for your team. smiley

Well done Summer on your bright, bold, eye catching shied! I love that you have used your house colours and incorporated a pattern to bring these colours together.

Our Mascots...

Well done Molly for your mascot entry- We really liked that you based your mascot on a team player and member of the class. I think it was a unique idea and lovely to choose someone who you thinks represents the values of your team so well. Grey Lake will be cheered on by their mascot "Super Georgia".

Well done Charlie. B, we have chosen your mascot because it is bright, bold and eye catching. I like that he has lots of eyes to make sure he can keep an eye on all your team mates and to watch and support each of them!

I love your team mascot's name speedeedy Abigail! I think a happy giraffe is the perfect animal to cheer you on, everyone can be a bit shy sometimes, but I think your team brings them out of their shell!

Well done Ethan, your Mascot will cheer on your team, Aylesbeare in our virtual sports week! He likes football and is happy, I think he might be useful in the keepy uppy activity!
